Rhinoplasty is surgery on the nose to improve appearance.

The most common indications include a hump that is prominent on the nose, a tip that is enlarged or drooping, and a desire for an overall reduction in size of the nose.

Time in recovery is related mostly to bruising in the lower eyelids, although this is not present in all rhinoplasty patients, it is commonly seen, and lasts for about 2 weeks. This procedure is done as an outpatient procedure, and does not require hospitalization.
