Breast Augmentation

Breast reductions are done primarily to alleviate back and shoulder pain that is related to excess weight in the breasts.

Because of the symptoms that effect daily living of those patients who have excessive breast tissue, it is very probable that insurance will cover the procedure. In the course of reducing the breasts, the nipple is elevated into a more normal position on the chest, and a more youthful appearance is an expectation.

The recovery time for breast reduction is 5-7 days getting back to work, and 4-5 weeks for athletic activity. This procedure is usually done in the hospital if insurance coverage is involved, but can be done as an outpatient procedure.
